Conmigra is on a mission to support immigrants in their pursuit of success by providing essential information and connecting them with the resources they need to flourish.
Immigration is a highly complex topic, and there are good-faith discussions to be had about immigration policy: How much immigration is too much immigration? Who should we allow to immigrate? What should the pathway to citizenship look like?
We don’t profess to have all the answers. But we are certain that immigrants should not be victimized for their desire to come. Immigrants are not responsible for setting US immigration policy; they are just subject to it.
We also believe that immigration benefits the United States, not only by empirical measures but also in more abstract considerations. American history and culture are inextricably linked with immigration, and American society is enriched by it. Movement and migration have played a central role in American identity and politics since the arrival of the earliest European settlers. The United States is undeniably a nation of immigrants and always has been. Our social and economic prosperity is due in no small part to the contribution of generations upon generations of immigrants.
We reject the notion that the United States is an inherently white and Christian nation. Nor do we believe that any class of people are its natural custodians. Neither blood, creed, nor soil are exclusive requisites to citizenship, and no privilege is justly conferred by them.

No room for compromise on fascism.
It is reasonable and necessary that an entity exist to enforce immigration laws. That is not ICE. In its current form, ICE far exceeds the mandate of an immigration law enforcement agency. Instead, ICE functions as an extrajudicial secret police force with a combined mission to create a white, Christian nationalist ethnostate and solidify the power of President Donald Trump, the fascist cohort he represents, and his ultra-wealthy benefactors by eliminating opposition. While ICE and the Trump administration’s stated objective may be to root out criminals and undocumented immigrants, in practice they’re nullifying the status of legal immigrants to justify their expulsion while quietly building an expansive mass surveillance program and using it to silence their political opponents.
ICE exists to reconstruct American society to look and think how the Trump administration’s political leadership wants it to. It’s doing this through a lawless campaign of mass surveillance, violence, brutality, torture, due process suspension, extrajudicial detention, foreign rendition, and enforced disappearances targeting both non-citizens and US citizens. It’s enabled by the cooperation of state and local officials, the apathy of congressional Republicans, and the zealous affirmation of a Supreme Court ideologically aligned with the President.
The only people who are safe from ICE are those who completely and unswervingly support every policy, action, and position of President Trump and his administration. Objection and divergence are ultimately prohibited tomorrow, even if dissenting voices persist today.
We believe that this kind of governance is unacceptable. Extinguishing the reign of this fascist regime will require action on many fronts. We are determined to dismantle the secret police state currently helmed by ICE and the Department of Homeland Security through non-violent, democratic action. We humbly encourage everyone who is troubled by ICE, regardless of your political affiliations, to join us in the fight against authoritarianism and voice your opposition to tyranny.
